For trekkers looking to go beyond high altitude walking, our climbing and expedition trips combine classic Himalayan trekking routes with technical peak ascents a step up in challenge and reward for those with some trekking experience who want to summit a genuine Himalayan peak.

Island Peak With Everest 3 Passes Trek

Island Peak With Everest 3 Passes Trek

This 18 day expedition combines the demanding Everest Three Passes trekking route with a technical climb to the summit of Island Peak (Imja Tse, 6,189m), one of Nepal's most popular trekking peaks. The itinerary crosses all three of the Everest region's high passes Kongma La, Cho La, and Renjo La before the climbing phase, where you'll use fixed ropes, crampons, and basic mountaineering equipment under the guidance of a licensed climbing guide to reach the summit.

Who This Is For

This trip suits experienced trekkers who have completed at least one high-altitude trek and want to progress to their first Himalayan summit, as well as climbers looking for a technically approachable 6,000m peak that doesn't require advanced mountaineering skills. A good level of fitness and prior high altitude trekking experience is recommended, though no technical climbing background is required full training and equipment briefing are provided before the summit push.

What You'll Experience

Beyond the technical climb itself, this expedition takes in some of the most dramatic scenery in the Everest region remote high passes, glacial lakes, and close up views of Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, and Ama Dablam. The days leading up to the summit attempt include acclimatization stops and a training session on the mountaineering equipment you'll use on summit day, so you arrive prepared rather than attempting technical terrain cold.

Why Choose All Himalayan Treks

We provide a licensed climbing guide alongside your regular trekking crew, proper mountaineering equipment, and an itinerary with adequate acclimatization built in before the technical phase safety and proper preparation are treated as non negotiable on a climb like this, not an afterthought.
