Tamang Heritage Trail Trek is a newly opened trekking route in Nepal. One of the best trekking routes in Langtang region; it is a 7 days trip from Kathmandu. The trek is dedicated to explore the typical local villages and the local culture of Tamang people. Tamang people are one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. The route also offers to collect the best views of Ganesh and Langtang Himal range.
The Tamang heritage trek starts with exploring the city tour of Kathmandu valley. It then goes to Syabrubesi with a scenic drive through the local villages and green hills. The trek to Gatlang allows to explore the typical local villages. From Gatlang, the trek then goes to Tatopani to experience a relaxing natural hot spring bath. Thuman is the finest local village influenced by Tibetan cultures and customs. It also offers to collect the picturesque views of Langtang, Sanjen, Kerung and Ganesh Himal ranges. And Briddim village allows you to explore Dukchu Gompa Monastery.
The best season time to trek Tamang heritage trekking is spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Although, trek to Tamang heritage trail is a finest experience in the months of winter (December to February) as well. Although, trekking in monsoon (June to August) is not perfect but doable. Tamang heritage trek is a more of homestay type trekking. This trip allows you to experience the pure local life and to taste the best local foods.
